to all the people who say this: “if you don’t do stupid things when you’re young, you have nothing to smile about when you’re old.” I hope you remember how fun drinking and partying was in high school as you suit up for your lifelong job of flipping burgers and washing dishes. or worse, you could drink too much one night and wind up injured or dead. I’ll remember how I read books and missed out on parties, but only after I come home from a long and satisfying day of working at the hospital. do what you’d like, I suppose. but don’t forget that what you do now affects your entire life. then ask yourself if it was worth it.
